
Lee Beaulac is the Principal of Beaulac Associates, LLC. In his 40 year career, Lee has worked exclusively in the field of community-based housing and economic development. His knowledge, innovative approaches and persistence have empowered community-based, citizen-led non-profit organizations, both nationally and internationally, by assisting them to increase their organizational professionalism and productivity. Lee has been in the vanguard of the evolutionary process which has elevated the non-profit sector to the position of being valued as effective, reliable and necessary to the process of community revitalization.
Lee has managed a full spectrum of community development activities including real estate development, homeownership promotion, energy, housing rehabilitation and small and micro-business assistance programs. Under Lee’s leadership, PathStone Corporation, a multi-state community development organization, was responsible for over $800 million in development finance, much of that invested in rural communities.
As a senior executive at PathStone Corporation, Lee was responsible for the organization’s public policy platform. These policy efforts complemented and supported campaigns being carried out at the state and national levels by the non-profit community including trade associations and regional and national advocacy groups. In this capacity, Lee was also responsible for building and managing relationships with policy makers, state and federal agencies, national intermediaries and funders to increase the understanding of, and appreciation for, the work of community-based development organizations. He has successfully engineered efforts to raise the visibility of organizations through media messaging, government relations and event planning
Lee has served in leadership positions in a number of local, state and national organizations including The National Community Reinvestment Coalition, National Congress for Community Economic Development, Rural LISC and the National Rural Housing Coalition. He has served as an appointed advisor to financial institutions, Members of Congress, state leaders and the faith community. Lee has prepared and presented written and oral testimony on community development and community reinvestment issues to federal regulators and to Congressional and state legislative committees. He has worked with federal and state legislators and agencies and financial institutions in the design/re-design of programs that support community-based development.
Lee has been a trainer and has taught in the field of community development including serving as an instructor at the University of Delaware, Michigan State University and Miami University of Ohio. He has served as a trainer, speaker, and presenter on the topic of community development across the United States, Latin America and in Europe. Lee is fluent in Spanish and has a great deal of experience working in multi-cultural and multi-lingual settings. Lee is very experienced in forging collaborations between stakeholders in the community development process including affiliations between non-profits, joint venture agreements between non-profits and for-profit developers and between non-profits and financial institutions. He has helped non-profit organizations with organizational development activities including strategic planning, board training and improvements to internal operations.
As a nationally recognized leader and advocate for community-based development organizations, Lee has received many awards and special recognition for his work. He has written extensively on community development issues. Lee has a B.A. in Latin American Studies from Ball State University and a Certificate in Community-Development from Pratt Institute and the Development Training Institute.
Lee has served on advisory boards for bank of America and Fleet Bank. He co-chaired Senator Hillary Clinton's Economic Development Subcommittee of the Senator's Agriculture Advisory Committee. Lee continues to serve on Senator Kirsten Gillibrand's Agriculture Advisory Committee.

Shaun Beaulac Hakiel, Associate. Shaun is a communications and fundraising veteran with a demonstrated track record of raising money and support through effective communications and relationship management. She has developed comprehensive communication strategies for large and small organizations, run local and national social media campaigns and have found creative, time-tested ways to substantially increase philanthropic revenue for clients.
Shaun has extensive experience working with organizations to build a solid base of regular supporters as well as strategically cultivate closer donor relationships that lead to more frequent and larger gifts.
